Event Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions (“Terms”) apply between the person, company, or entity specified on the registration form when registering for a ticket/pass (“you”) and the legal owner, organizer, operator, and/or manager of the conference/event (Data 2.0, Inc., d/b/a “DevNetwork”) for event participant registrations for the conference/event you are registering for as specified on the registration form of the conference/event. Please read these terms carefully before registering with us. By submitting your registration, you are expressly agreeing to these terms and conditions.

DevNetwork Code of Conduct

By registering for any DevNetwork event you agree to abide by our Code of Conduct: (https://devnetwork.com/code-of-conduct). Violations may result in ejection and/or expulsion from an event and the revoking of all event credentials without refund, in addition to potentially being barred from future DevNetwork events.

Refund Policy

We do not offer refunds on tickets/passes. Once paid, registration fees for tickets/passes are non-refundable, unless otherwise noted in these Terms.

Ticket/Pass Registration Transfers

If you can no longer attend a DevNetwork event, you may contact us by email at [email protected] and request a transfer of your ticket/pass to another person. Transfer requests may be submitted up to two (2) weeks prior to an event/conference. It is not possible to transfer your ticket/pass to another DevNetwork event, unless otherwise noted.

Photo/Video Policy

By registering for a DevNetwork conference/event and entering the conference/event venue or conference-related event venue, you expressly give your consent to DevNetwork and its affiliates the perpetual right and permission to copyright and use recordings (including live streaming) and photographic portraits or pictures of you, without compensation, wholly intact or in part, through any and all media now or hereafter known or invented, for illustration, art, promotion, advertising, trade, or any other purpose and you release DevNetwork, its affiliates, successors, assigns and licensees from any liability whatsoever of any nature in regard thereto.

Sponsor Data Collection at Events

By registering for a DevNetwork conference/event, you are expressly consenting to providing your registration data and event-related data to DevNetwork and its sponsors. The registration and event-related data shared will be used in accordance with DevNetwork’s Privacy Policy and each individual sponsor’s Privacy Policy.

Ticket & Badge Policy

By registering for a DevNetwork event, you agree that each ticket/pass is applicable to the single person registered for that ticket/pass and that a $50 badge reprinting fee will be assessed for any lost/stolen badges.

The first and last name on your badge must match the first and last name on your government-issued photo ID. All event participants are required to have their government-issued photo ID on them at all times during the conference/event (not only during conference/event registration periods). If at any time, the name on your badge does not match the name on your ID, access to an event/conference may be revoked without refund. Badges are the property of DevNetwork and may be confiscated at any time at DevNetwork’s sole discretion.

Cancellation Policy

DevNetwork may, at its sole discretion, change the format (including, without limitation, from a physical in-person conference/event to a virtual conference/event and vice versa), speakers, participants, content, venue location, or any other aspect of the conference/event at any time and for any reason, whether or not due to a Force Majeure Event, in each case without liability.

DevNetwork, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or relocate any DevNetwork conference/event or conference-related event at any time for any reason. Where DevNetwork changes the date or cancels a conference/event for any reason except due to a Force Majeure Event (in which case the terms below shall apply), DevNetwork may offer you the option of attending a rearranged conference/event that DevNetwork chooses to organize, at its sole discretion. If you promptly, and within ten (10) days after being notified by DevNetwork of the new date and/or location of a conference/event, notify DevNetwork in writing that you do not wish to attend the rearranged conference/event or if DevNetwork elects not to rearrange the conference/event, then you will (as your sole remedy) be entitled, at your discretion, to receive a credit to a future DevNetwork conference/event in respect of your registration fees received by DevNetwork.

Where a Force Majeure Event has or may have (in DevNetwork’s sole discretion) an adverse impact on: (i) the ability of DevNetwork to hold a conference/event at the planned venue or on the planned date(s); or (ii) a conference/event generally, then DevNetwork shall be entitled but not obliged, at its sole discretion, to either: (i) provide alternative facilities or venue (including virtual) for the conference/event; and/or (ii) reschedule the conference/event. Any of your registration fees received by DevNetwork will be applied to any rearranged and/or rescheduled conference/event held pursuant to this term, and you shall not be entitled to object to such rearranged and/or rescheduled conference/event or have any right to claim any compensation in respect thereof. If DevNetwork is unable or elects not to rearrange and/or reschedule the conference/event pursuant to this term, then you will (as your sole remedy) be entitled, at your discretion, to receive a credit to a future DevNetwork conference/event in respect of your registration fees received by DevNetwork. For the purpose of this term, a “Force Majeure Event” means any event or circumstance arising that is beyond the reasonable control of DevNetwork including but not limited to: governmental laws, ordinances, regulations, requisitions, restrictions, guidelines, recommendations or action, imposition of sanctions, embargo, military action, acts or threats of terrorism or war, mob, civil commotion or riot, health scares (including without limitation, epidemic and pandemic (e.g., COVID-19), whether or not new, ongoing or recurring), fire, acts of God, flood, drought, earthquake, severe weather, disaster, disruption to transportation, third party contractor/supplier failure, venue damage or cancellation, industrial dispute, strikes, labour disputes, interruption/failure of utility service, lack of commodities or supplies, accidents, nuclear, chemical or biological contamination, speaker or participant cancellation or withdrawal, or any other comparable calamity or casualty.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, DevNetwork shall not be liable to you for any loss, delay, damage, or other liability incurred, resulting from, or arising in connection with the cancellation, rearrangement, and/or rescheduling of any DevNetwork conference/event. You acknowledge and agree that the provisions above in this Cancellation Policy set out your sole remedy should a DevNetwork conference/event date be changed or cancelled, and all other liability of DevNetwork is expressly excluded.

Minors & Substance Policy

Event participants who are minors (persons younger than 18 years old) must be accompanied at all times by an adult who is 18 years or older and who can take legal responsibility for the minor. The DevNetwork ticket/pass policy applies to minors.

Please note that some events/parties are only accessible to attendees who are 21 and over. DevNetwork will not assume any responsibility or liability for underage alcohol consumption (or other legal, but age-restricted, substances, such as marijuana or tobacco) or the effects of alcohol (or marijuana or tobacco) consumption in general. Event participants attending a DevNetwork conference/event release DevNetwork and Data 2.0, Inc., from any and all claims that may arise out of alcohol (or marijuana or tobacco) consumption at a DevNetwork conference/event, at conference-related events, or travel to/from the conference/event.

Some event content may contain mature themes (such as sex, violence, and drug use) that may not be suitable for minors. Adult chaperones are responsible for managing and reviewing content/themes to see if it is suitable for their accompanied minor(s) before, during, and/or after the event.

Marketing & Sponsor Communications

By registering for a DevNetwork conference/event, you expressly agree that DevNetwork and its sponsors may contact you via email (or SMS, when applicable) with information about future DevNetwork conferences/events, other DevNetwork products and services, and sponsor promotions. If you decide you no longer wish to receive such communications, you may OPT OUT at any time from those email (or SMS, when applicable) communications.
