Tal Lev-Ami

Tal Lev-Ami is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at Cloudinary, where he oversees all technological operations, R&D, and innovation across a platform that powers visual experiences for thousands of global brands. A lifelong technologist, Tal wrote his first programs in elementary school and earned his bachelor’s degree at 18 while working full-time in software. He completed his master’s degree during army service and later earned a PhD in computer science before co-founding a boutique software outsourcing firm and eventually Cloudinary.

At Cloudinary, Tal leads the engineering organization end-to-end and is currently focused on advancing AI-assisted coding systems that accelerate development at scale. After years of growing Cloudinary’s technical foundation, he’s returned to hands-on coding, experimenting with ways to make developers more productive and creative through intelligent tooling.
