I lead Enterprise API teams at Salesforce.com, which serve half of all API traffic for the Salesforce.com ecosystem — processing billions of transactions and over a trillion records monthly across 30+ versions of API endpoints and formats, serving 150K+ businesses.

I have built and led across the full spectrum — async APIs, composite APIs, bulk APIs for high-volume transaction processing, async task frameworks, and SOAP. I advocate for the API-first philosophy across development teams. The right architecture depends on use case, data volume, latency, and consumer.

I am currently working on what good API design looks like when AI agents are the callers — not developers — and what API usability means when there is no human reading the docs.
