Shailaja Sampat

I am a Senior Researcher in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) lab at Fujitsu's research division in the USA. Previously, I received a doctoral degree from Arizona State University, where my research focused on the intersection of natural language processing and computer vision. My current work involves research and development aimed at enhancing Fujitsu's enterprise AI solutions, including agentic AI, automated machine learning (AutoML), data wrangling, and foundation models for tabular data. I have published over twelve papers in top-tier AI, data, and software engineering conferences, such as CIKM, EMNLP, NAACL, EACL, KR&R, and ASE, as well as in workshops at CVPR and AAAI. My previous affiliations include IBM Research, Philips Research, ITRI-Taiwan, and IIT Bombay-India, where I held positions as a short-term researcher. I am a professional member of ACM, AAAI, and ACL, and regularly contribute as a peer reviewer and area chair for these organizations.

With this combination of academic rigor, hands-on industry experience, and peer-reviewed research, I am confident in my ability to serve as an AI/ML Advisory Board (ML & AI Engineering Technologies) at DevNetwork.
