Raul Popa

Raul Popa is the CEO and Co-founder of TypingDNA, a global leader in behavioral biometrics and AI-driven authentication. Under his leadership, the company has redefined digital identity, securing backing from Google’s Gradient Ventures and earning prestigious recognition from Gartner and Frost & Sullivan.

A prominent voice in the tech landscape, Raul’s work has been featured in Forbes, The Financial Times, and TechCrunch. Raul was honored as an EY Entrepreneur of the Year and is recognized as one of the most influential AI leaders from Eastern Europe. A frequent speaker at premier global stages (e.g. TEDx, WSAI, AMLD) his expert testimony at the European Parliament on the risks and necessities of secure AI ultimately contributed to the EU AI Act.

With a career characterized by innovation, Raul has co-founded multiple startups, and has been instrumental in launching several enterprise-grade solutions used by millions. His contributions to technology include multiple patent applications in authentication and user behavior analysis. Raul holds an interdisciplinary academic background from Babeș-Bolyai University, furthered by specialized AI programs at MIT and Stanford University.
