Paulo Tavares

I'm a leader who loves to solve problems, grow and lead global and cross-functional teams to perform at their best, navigating the intersection of people, strategy, business and tech. I bring experience from fast-moving organizations of different sizes, from local startups to global scale-ups and large Big Tech companies.

I work at OutSystems, an international IT company recognized as an industry leader by Forrester and Gartner, whose goal is to help companies create the IT of the future. I've been responsible for building, realigning and scaling different teams across Marketing, Product and Engineering, and I'm currently focused on scaling the adoption of our product in our global Developer Community, as Director of Strategic Programs, responsible for defining strategy, building capabilities and rolling out programs with my team and global, cross-functional stakeholders to drive growth of our developer ecosystem.

Prior to OutSystems I worked at Google from July 2011 to September 2017, in multiple technical, strategy and leadership roles across Google Consumer Products and Google Cloud. Before that, I worked at OutSystems in its startup stage from 2004 through 2011 in Engineering and Community roles, having created the Community practice and team at OutSystems.

I hold a Computer Sciences MsC, an MBA, and on my free time I like to tinker and contribute to with open source products every now and then, or get hands down and building something for fun for my personal use.
