I'm Advait Patel, a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Broadcom where I focus on cloud infrastructure security and reliability for Wavefront, which is an observability platform that processes around 10 million telemetry points per second for enterprise customers like Boeing, Wells Fargo, and Intuit.

Security has been the core of my work for the past eight-plus years. At Broadcom I built the platform's first end-to-end security-as-code framework covering IAM modernization, automated key rotation, unified threat detection, and SOC 2 and ISO audit readiness. That work resulted in zero security incidents over two consecutive years and cut audit preparation time by 75%.

Outside of my day job, I created DockSec, which is an open-source AI-powered Docker security analyzer with more than 15K downloads that is now formally adopted by OWASP. I am also a founding member of the OWASP Artificial Intelligence Vulnerability Scoring System (AIVSS), which brings structured and measurable risk scoring to AI-specific threats like adversarial attacks and model drift. I also co-led the Cloud Security Alliance's AI Controls Matrix (AICM) implementation guidelines, which operationalize all 243 AICM controls for real-world enterprise environments.

I speak regularly at DataWeek, QCon AI, PlatformCon, AI CodeCon, OWASP Global AppSec US and EU, SANS CloudSecNext, and Blue Team Con, and I serve on the technical program committees of IEEE TOC, IEEE ICAIC, DIMVA, and ICML. I have also authored two Springer books on security and identity management on Google Cloud and review research for IEEE Transactions on Cloud Computing.
